What we do

Offender Management

South Yorkshire CRC manages offenders given community orders to ensure they complete their sentence successfully. If an offender does not comply with the requirements of their order, they can be sent back to court.

Any offender given a supervision requirement as part of a community order is required to attend appointments with an offender manager from South Yorkshire CRC. The offender manager monitors the offender, assesses their needs and offers them support for areas such as accommodation, substance misuse and education.

Every offender sentenced to 12 months or more in prison is required to be supervised in the community for a proportion of their sentence. CRC staff work closely with prisons to help offenders prepare for release. CRC staff also supervise prisoners who have been released on a life licence.

It is our priority to protect the public by supervising offenders in the community.
