Welcome to South Yorkshire CRC

South Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Company work with medium and low risk offenders across our region.

In the Autumn of 2014 South Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Company transferred from the public sector to become a private sector provider as part of the government's Transforming Rehabilitation programme. On 1 February 2015 Sodexo Justice Services in partnership with Nacro became SYCRC's majority shareholder.

The National Probation Service now works with all high risk offenders.

South Yorkshire CRC manages more than 3700 medium and low risk offenders every year either on a community order or on licence following their release from prison.

Community Payback

Community Payback is demanding, unpaid work carried out by offenders in the community. It is a national scheme which is delivered locally by South Yorkshire CRC.

Who we are

South Yorkshire CRC is a criminal justice agency which protects the public by making sure offenders are properly punished and rehabilitated. We work closely with our partner agencies such as the Police, Prison Service, the Courts, Crown Prosecution Service and Victim Support, to reduce crime and keep our communities safer.

We are one of 21 CRCs within England and Wales. We currently employ approximately 280 staff who work from our offices throughout South Yorkshire.
